Ruby was admitted to the Raptor Center on June 7, 2020 from Monroe, Ohio after being found out of the nest too young to fly but otherwise healthy. She was renested the nest day. On June 14, 2020 she was found out of the nest again, but with an eye injury that resulted in blindness in her left eye. Unfortunately the injury made it impossible for her to survive in the wild on her own.
