Plaque with adopted bird information

Avian Ambassadors

RAPTOR Inc's Avian Ambassadors are birds that permanently reside at the Raptor Center and assist our educators with the delivery of educational programming. Each Avian Ambassador has some type of disability that prevents them from being able to survive in the wild on their own. They serve as ambassadors for their wild counterparts and help us form meaningful connections between people and wildlife, hopefully leading to respect and conservation action.

Those who adopt an Avian Ambassador will receive:

  • A plaque bearing the adopter's name and the dates of the adoption. The plaque will be placed on the outside of the Avian Ambassador's enclosure for 1 year - letting all Raptor Center visitors know that YOU are helping to care for YOUR adopted bird. At the end of the adoption period the plaque will be sent to the adopter as a keepsake.
  • An adoption certificate with the Avian Ambassador's story.
  • A set of bird of prey notecards.

Your adoption helps to house, feed and care for your Avian Ambassador.
